Cobalto and Zafiro are two futuristic concept devices that have been designed by getting inspired from Sci-Fi movies like “Minority Report”. Cobalto, the glass screen of this mobile phone concept has been envisioned to be able to produce 3D objects in the air which is really exciting. The device features deformable metal which will allow the user to function either on traditional number buttons or a dial like iPod.

Light Touch is an innovative projector with the ability to transform any flat surface into an interactive touch screen where users can play with the content just like they do on hand held devices using multi-touch feature. The integrated Holographic Laser Projection technology allows the projector to produce high-quality video in WVGA resolution. Its functional infrared sensors can detect any sorts of motion and turns the projected image in to 10.1” touch screen that allows the user to control the projector and intermingle with applications. This handy and ultra portable device effectively extends the workspace of users by profoundly changing the working principle of interacting with multimedia content.

When you think “modern computer,” you think size, portability, functionality, and case aesthetics. What else? The LMacTouch has the good stuff. It’s got a touch screen, major-ly adjustable screen, green features, and it’s pretty!

Why isn’t this a production model?

Many things come to mind when I imagine new features that might be useful on my Mac; a touch screen, integrated 3G connectivity, pop-out remote control, integrated LCD projector, and maybe even a ninja bear defense radar system… I had an incident, let it go. Designer Nuno Teixeira believes every computer should be two faced and with more curves. I dated that girl for a while and it was a hot nightmare, but his “iView” iteration of an Apple’s iMac definitely has a lot more appeal. Taking a cue from the 1950’s CINERAMA wrap-around movie theatre screens, this iMac iMock-up features a giant curved screen(for better orientation to the natural curvature of the human eye) and a second built in LCD screen on the back(useful for students and graphic designer.) While shooting for the stars, Nuno also included two webcams(front and back). The likelihood this will ever be made? 0%, the likelihood I would really like one of these? 100%

Hologram technology may still be in a full bloom, but that doesn’t stop some designers from conceiving fun ideas to play around with. Like a kid in a candy store, the 3D Desktop Concept is perfect for computer-freaks like me. Natural hand movements across the black curtain to crumple and discard documents, or type out a virtual page akin to a typewriter; this concept has virtual holographic goodies by the dozens! If the idea is too overbearing then switch off the embedded tiny projectors and use this as a desk lamp!
